The invention of the Blues
The Blues was invented in the end of XIX century in the United States, when the slaves that worked in cotton plantation used to chant songs and laments that gave rise to what we know today as “Blues”. It was gospel music just sang, because by their precarious conditions they could not afford to buy instruments. After that, this style came to church and was used to livened the services.
